FAQ's
Who are you? TOP My name is Carol Oolman and I am a mother, grandmother, jewelry maker and quilter. I have been selling my jewelry for about six years now to a limited "word of mouth" clientel. I just had one of those "big" birthdays and I decided it was now or never, so here I am on the web. You will find a large variety of styles in my work because I love learning new things. I am always looking for some new technique to try in both jewelry and quilting. What do you charge for shipping? TOP I usually use US Postal Service first class. I charge $2.50 for the first item and $.50 for each additional item. Or you may choose US Priorty Mail for $4.05 up to 1 pound. What size bracelet do I need? TOP It is best to measure your wrist at the narrowest part just above the hand. Wrap a piece of string around your wrist and cut it so the ends butt and it is just snug, but not tight. For a chain or flat or small bead bracelet add three quarters of an inch to this length. If the beads are large, you will need to add one and a half inches. This is because half of the width of each bead is inside of the stringing wire. This half a bead takes up space along with your wrist. You also have to consider how loose you like your bracelets to be. These measurements would be a bracelet that fit on your wrist but didn't slide down on your hand. Why do you make breast cancer awareness items? TOP I have a daughter who is a mammography tech so I have a special interest in breast cancer awareness and research. |
